At Peniel School we follow the NCERT academic programme. We currently have Grade 1 till 7. While we teach our students in English, we still emphasize on the importance of learning Hindi and Tamil. The Campus has spacious classrooms that are well lit and ventilated. The teacher-to-student ratio is 1:20. We strive to ensure that children get a holistic learning experience.
Various experiential and activity-based learning methods are used to enable students to explore and go beyond the standard in understanding concepts. Teachers facilitate the art of learning that helps students appreciate mentorship. This also increases their potential to develop their capacity to learn from the various scenarios they encounter in life.
The reading programme allows for improved language proficiency making the child an independent reader. It aims at enhancing the child’s reflection and introspection, keeping in mind that multiple language proficiency is the need of the hour with the world becoming a global village.
The school follows the assessment policies as per the CBSE norms. The formal assessment methods will include two formative assessments and two summative assessments.
The process of assessment is very scientific (tested and proven) – it includes testing various cognitive skills. The Pen & Paper test at every level will include different questioning patterns for all cognitive levels. This allows a better analysis of the learning that has taken place.
